Job Overview:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) develops and drives Rendr’s financial strategy and oversees all financial processes to maintain organizational financial health.  Core areas of focus span from P&L management to accounting, financial planning, predictive modeling, budgeting, and investor relations.

The CFO is a key partner in developing, monitoring, governing and evaluating the overall corporate strategy. Artful collaboration cross-functionally across clinical, medical economics, and operations teams to spearhead a data driven culture is required to foster alignment of key indicators and metrics to ensure success and financial discipline across Rendr.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Define the financial strategy and provide useful financial insights to help make the best decisions about executing our business strategy.
  • Lead and build out financial functions (Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting & Controls, Audit, Financial Operations, etc.) implementing best in class systems.
  • Represent the company externally to financial partners and regulators including financial institutions, investors, auditors, lawyers, and government regulators.
  • Bring strong buy/sell transactional experience both analytically and from a strategic perspective.
  • Drive and build value of the company. Manage and improve the current level of financial risk.
  • Assist in the strategy for managing/pricing contracts. This includes complex risk-based contracting with payer organizations.
  • Deliver clear and accurate reporting to the CEO, Executive Team, and Board on the financial health of the organization. Include reporting that highlights drivers of forecast variances, deep business insight, and current and future risks and opportunities.
  • Spearhead a data-driven culture across the organization, fostering alignment of key indicators and metrics to ensure success and financial discipline across Rendr’s physician practices.
  • Oversee investment of funds and works with investment bankers, and venture capitalists to raise additional capital required for expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Education: An MBA and a CPA or an equivalent certification (can be inactive).
  • Experience: Proven track record of at least 15+ years in a high-growth healthcare environment with 5+ years as a CFO.
  • Proven success in building and iterating upon FP&A, accounting, budgeting, and treasury functions; expert in implementing scalable data and metrics infrastructure.
  • Successful track record in high-growth environments, ideally in PE or VC-backed multi-site healthcare delivery businesses that have grown through both acquisition and organic expansion.
  • Prior transaction experience, and prior public market exposure is preferred.
  • Possess a blended strategic and operational financial skillset; Ability to align the financial function with business goals and strategy in addition to driving operational efficiencies across the business.
  • Skilled communicator with demonstrated experience executing complex change management strategies within healthcare services; Able to set priorities and communicate effectively to stakeholders across the business.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing finance teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
