Work Location: 2 days in Manhattan (10013), 3 days in Brooklyn (11220)

Work Schedule: 4 days weekdays, 1 day weekend (Saturday) - 40 hours per week

Job Overview:

The Registered Nurse in our Oncology office will be a vital member of our healthcare team. Responsible for delivering compassionate and high-quality care and services to patients undergoing oncology treatments. Your role involves administering medications, monitoring patient responses, and providing support in a collaborative oncology care environment. 

Essential Functions:

  • Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, antibiotics, symptom management and triage patients.
  • Provide and document professional nursing care.
  • Demonstrates competency in all aspects of chemotherapy administration, monoclonal antibody therapy, IV therapy, subcutaneous and intramuscular injection administration.
  • Knowledgeable and practice within the ONS guidelines during any adverse event while administering chemotherapy, i.e. chemotherapy spill incidents.
  • Provide education and follow-up care after patients have been released from chemotherapy.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and other team members.
  • Other tasks as assigned by providers or Office Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) required.
  • ONS chemotherapy and biotherapy certified preferred but not required.
  • 1+ years of experience in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy preferred but not required.
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse License required.
  • Nursing degree required.
  • BLS or ACLS certification required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
